Rehab Treatments
Help is only a phone call away
We have a range of rehab centres through out the UK. We treat all addictions in the best caring environments with trained professionals in their fields.
Alcohol addiction
Drug addiction
The most effective way to treat drug abuse or dependence is through the comprehensive care offered by a qualified drug rehab program. While there are several different types of drug rehab centres located throughout the UK, almost all feature three core elements: detox, counselling and aftercare. Detox helps the individual overcome the physical aspect of drug abuse and addiction by allowing the body to be cleansed of harmful drug toxins.
Often painful and potentially life threatening, it is important to assess the subject’s condition to determine if medically assisted detoxification is necessary. In medically assisted detox, medical personnel administer medications that manage withdrawal symptoms. This makes the detox process less painful for the recovering individual and allows the body to be slowly weaned off the substances of abuse. Counselling gives the individual a chance to explore the root causes of their problem, and better understand the “triggers” that led to drug abuse and addiction. Individual, group or other specialised forms of counselling and therapy are common in rehabilitation facilities and programs. This is where the true work of recovery takes place, as they get to the reasons behind their addiction. Once those reasons are addressed, the individual can learn to manage their triggers and truly progress in recovery.
Finally, aftercare programs help the individual make a smooth transition back into life after treatment. This may include placement at a sober living facility, drug testing, meeting with a behavioural health counsellor, or other regularly scheduled outpatient services
GAMBLING ADDICTION
An addiction to gambling, or compulsive gambling, is sometimes called a type of “impulse control disorder” where someone has trouble restraining themselves from acting on an inclination or impulse.
Online gambling addiction is particularly prevelant – it is now easier than ever to jump online and take place in games of blackjack, poker, roulette or virtual slot machines. Other common examples are betting on sports, the lottery or even compulsive use of scratchcards.
Gambling becomes a serious addiction when it interferes with a person’s normal life, job and relationships. Finances often become very strained as the compulsion takes no account of this and the addict will not be able to stop even if he or she runs out of money.
sex or love ADDICTION
Sex addiction may begin when someone uses the behaviours to manage other emotional issues such as depression, anxiety or trauma. These problems come to light once someone is being treated for addictions such as alcohol or drug dependence. Often they reflect deep-rooted problems we have in our relationships with ourselves, which can be summarised as low self-worth or low self-esteem. Many clinics specialise in sex addiction help including love addiction support.
Whilst individual behaviour in relationships varies widely, using the term ‘addiction’ can be helpful to understand how an individual can engage in sexual behaviour in which they feel out of control, or persist with a relationship despite clear evidence that it is deeply destructive for them and the other person(s) involved.
EATING DISORDERS
Eating disorders are treatable and over the years we have helped thousands of people move towards recovery and to lead more fulfilling lives. Specialist treatment addresses both the physical consequences of the service user’s eating disorder, as well as the related underlying psychological and social factors.
We recognise the importance of an individualised care pathway designed to provide a safe but supportive and structured environment, tailored to the differing needs and experiences of each service user.
